In the latest report published by the international rating agency Moody’s on July 5, 2024, changing the outlook for the country’s long-term credit rating from “stable” to “positive”, it was assessed at “Ba1”. It was also noted that the country’s macroeconomic indicator has increased.

The agency confirmed the outlook for the long-term deposit rating of the country’s first bank, Kapital Bank, in local and foreign currencies, changing it from “stable” to “positive” at “Ba2”. It should also be noted that the bank’s base credit assessment (BCA) rating was approved at “Ba3”, and the long-term counterparty risk rating (LT-CRR) at “Ba1”. In its report, the agency noted the quality of the bank’s loan portfolio, overall capital adequacy, supported by the bank’s strong and stable capital resources, as well as high profitability indicators with effective asset management as positive aspects.

Regarding the indicators published by Standard & Poor’S (S&P) on July 2, 2024, the long-term and short-term credit ratings of Kapital Bank were affirmed at “BB-/B”. This not only underlines the strong and stable financial capabilities of the bank and the increase in its loan portfolio, but also speaks of the bank’s future positive prospects. The agency particularly emphasized the expectations of strengthening the bank’s position in the financial sector in the next 12-18 months.
