The Minister of Public Works, Romeo Herrera, revealed that in the Salvadoran territory more than 1,000 kilometers of highways have been intervened in order to contribute to the development of the country.
“We have interventions on more than 1,000 kilometers of roads that we have developed over time. Many of them have been road reconstruction, others have been potholes in specific areas,” said the head of the MOP.
According to the official, the rehabilitations have been prioritized in sites that contribute to boosting the country and communities economically. The tourist areas are within the developed projects.
He added that some of the areas already intervened or where work is being done to build new road infrastructure are the Gerardo Barrios peripheral, in San Miguel and the Claudia Lars peripheral, in La Libertad.
