Parliamentarian Andrias Kupčinskas’ proposal to ban trade in large shopping centers on Sundays and holidays, registered in the Seimas, continues to receive criticism. Here, Rūta Vainienė, head of the Lithuanian Trade Enterprises Association (LPĮA), tells LRT RADIO that such an arrangement would push companies to lay off some of their employees, and more chemicals would be used to maintain the freshness of production.
