More Germans started smoking during corona | Abroad

BERLIN – Since the start of the corona pandemic, significantly more people have started smoking in Germany. At the moment, 34.5 percent of Germans aged 14 and older regularly light a cigarette. At the beginning of 2020, before corona broke out, this was around 27 percent. This emerges from an ongoing study into smoking behavior in Germany, called DEBRA.
