This September, the Superintendency of Transport has increased its presence in terminals, roads and toll booths, due to the increase in travelers on the occasion of the celebration of the month of Love and Friendship. The ‘land ports’ of Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Pereira and Armenia have registered the largest number of shipments this season.
The entity supports traffic and transport authorities in carrying out inspection operations on roads and toll booths in 30 cities. Approximately 200 operations are scheduled for this period, during which the condition of vehicles and their documentation is verified.
These inspections are carried out at terminals, roads and toll booths, with the verification and inspection of vehicles along with their documentation (Insurance, RCE, RCC, RTM, SOAT, operating card, driving license).
Transport contracts are checked and, if required, the signing of emergency agreements, breathalyzer verification, validation of transport capacity according to the operation card, verification that there is no overcapacity or adequacy of seats and driver relief with trips every 8 hours, verification of the presence of both drivers or evidence of the point where the relief will take place.

For the Superintendent of Transportation, Ayda Lucy Ospina Arias, “these dates are of special attention for the Entity, since it is when users celebrate by visiting relatives in other cities and municipalities or travel to emblematic sites according to the date. For this reason, we are present in terminals, airports, cable stations and bodies of water to get closer to citizens through socialization, intermediation and guidance. We have 68 regional offices that cover 30 cities.”
