At least 105 people, including civilians, were killed and 359 wounded in weekend Israeli airstrikes targeting the Lebanese armed faction Hezbollah, Lebanon’s Health Ministry said.

According to a CNN report on the 29th (local time), the area where the most deaths occurred due to this airstrike was in southern Lebanon. 48 people were killed and 168 injured in Ain El Delb and Tyre.

The Ministry of Health reported that Israeli airstrikes caused major damage to hospitals in the southern region.

In addition, the Balbek Hermel region in the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon was also hit hard, with 33 people killed and 97 injured.

The Israeli military said this weekend’s attack in Lebanon targeted Hezbollah and its facilities. He then accused Hezbollah of using civilians as ‘human shields’.

Israeli airstrikes are continuing toward Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. According to the Associated Press and Al Jazeera on the 30th (local time), the Al-Kola district, a residential area in southwest Beirut, was subjected to an airstrike by the Israeli military early in the morning.

On this day, foreign media reported that the upper floor of an apartment building in the Alcola district was bombed. Reuters reported that witnesses heard a loud noise and saw smoke rising from the upper floors of the building. The Alcola district is said to be home to shops and markets mainly used by civilians.

CNN reported that this was the first time the Israeli military attacked Beirut city center since October last year.
