More than 1,650 million pesos in economic benefits are expected in Sonora during the holiday season

Sonora is prepared to receive tourists who will visit different points of the entity for this holiday period summer, where a 10 percent increase in the flow of visitors and an economic spill of 1,651 million pesos is expected, reported the governor Alfonso Durazo Montano.

The state leader explained that one of the main objectives since the beginning of his government in the area of ​​tourism is to highlight the different regions of the state, through the intense work of promoting the activities carried out by the municipalities, from patron saint festivals, cultural festivals and traditional festivals that generate significant economic benefits for each region.

For this reason, tourists who will visit the state this summer are invited to enjoy the 11 different activities that will take place in July in municipalities of the state, including: from the 11th to the 13th the XXI Festival de Mar Bermejo will be held in Guaymas; from the 12th to the 14th El Alamazo, in Álamos; from the 12th to the 14th the Traditional Festivals of Our Lady of Carmen in Divisaderos; on the 13th in Navojoa the 101st anniversary of that municipality will be celebrated; from the 19th to the 27th the Traditional Festivals of Santa Ana will be held; on the 20th the Great Cavalcade of Towns and Ranches of Sonora in Aribabi.

From the 26th to the 28th of this month, the 2024 Yaqui River Festival will be held in Ónavas; in Hermosillo, from the 26th to the 28th, the Pan American Bodybuilding Championship will be held; from August 31st to the 3rd, the Traditional San Ignacio de Loyola Festivals will be held in Huachinera.

Governor Durazo recalled that the dissemination of this type of tourist events is of great importance to boost regional activity in each municipality, promote their products and cultural wealth in order to positively impact the economy of families.
