Riyadh: Saudi Arabia says that more than 20 lakh foreign pilgrims will perform Hajj this year. Hajj and Umrah Minister Tawfiq Al Rabia shared the information during his visit to Iraq. While explaining the facilities provided to Hajj pilgrims from Iraq, the minister specified the number of pilgrims from outside Saudi Arabia. Reports indicate that 33,690 pilgrims from Iraq will perform the Hajj pilgrimage.

Saudi Arabia has announced that the number of Hajj pilgrims will increase this year as compared to the pre-Covid period. The Saudi Hajj and Umrah Minister noted that the waiver of many conditions for Hajj pilgrims would lead to an increase in the number.

This time, Saudi Arabia has relaxed the conditions including the age limit for Hajj pilgrims. In addition, Saudi recently announced proposals including free transit visas. A transit visa allows you to enter the country for four days and perform Umrah.
