More than 23% of voters in the Khabarovsk Territory voted for candidates to the State Duma of Russia by 10:00 local time (3:00 Moscow time), the regional election commission reported on Sunday, September 19.

“At 10:00 am (03:00 Moscow time), 22.88%, or 220,143 voters, voted for the governor, and 226,622 people voted for the State Duma contender. This is 23.32% of the total number of voters, ”the regional election commission said.

There are 807 polling stations in the region, 967,297 voters can vote there. In Primorye, 1297 polling stations are organized, the region has 1,433,850 voters. In the Jewish Autonomous Region, about 122 thousand voters can vote in 183 polling stations.

According to the Central Election Commission, the turnout at the end of the second day of elections at 20:00 Moscow time across the country was 31.51%, excluding remote electronic voting (DEG).

At the same time, in the case of DEG, the turnout in elections in all regions of Russia is about 80%. As the Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation Nikolai Bulaev noted, the forecast of a turnout of 90% in remote voting may come true.

The DEG opportunity is provided to residents of Moscow, Murmansk, Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov and Yaroslavl regions, as well as Sevastopol.

Earlier on Saturday, political consultant Alena August predicted that in the near future, people’s interest in remote electronic voting will grow.

On the same day, the head of the People’s Diplomacy – Norway NGO, Hendrik Weber, said that the election process in Russia is transparent and organized at the “highest level.”

In 2021, elections to the State Duma are held for the first time in a new, three-day format. September 19 is the main voting day, and September 17 and 18 are optional.

Simultaneously with the elections to the State Duma on a single voting day, direct elections are held for the heads of nine Russian constituent entities (in three more regions, deputies of legislative assemblies will elect the highest administrative persons) and 39 regional parliaments.
