More than 2,500 people have received specialized training from CONAPINA on the Crecer Juntos Law so far in 2024, including technical staff from member institutions of the National System for the Comprehensive Protection of Children and Adolescents, such as the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, the Ministry of Health, the Judiciary and others.

The scope of these trainings extends beyond the public sector, encompassing civil society organizations committed to the well-being of children and adolescents. Organizations such as UNHCR, Save the Children and Glasswing have actively participated in the training programs.

In addition, CONAPINA has included teaching staff, parents and students from public and private educational institutions in its training, thus strengthening the protection network at the national level.

A notable aspect of these trainings is their personalized approach. The content on the Growing Together Law is meticulously adapted to the profile and specific functions of each participating group. This strategy guarantees that all services and actions aimed at children and adolescents are carried out with a rights-based approach, prioritizing their comprehensive well-being.

Through the School of Specialized Training and Capacity Building in the Rights of Children and Adolescents, CONAPINA fulfills the mandate established in the Crecer Juntos Law to provide training and capacity building in said legislation. This effort seeks to raise awareness and update the knowledge of all actors involved in the protection and guarantee of the rights of girls, boys and adolescents.

The training programme also includes a component aimed directly at girls, boys, adolescents and adults. It addresses crucial topics such as the prevention of child labour, bullying, cyberbullying and others. The aim is to empower participants to become agents of change and multipliers of knowledge in their own communities.

In parallel, the training school develops the I Am Also a Person Program. This initiative focuses on strengthening family skills in respectful, positive and non-violent parenting, and is aimed at parents, guardians and caregivers of girls, boys and adolescents from diverse communities, thus promoting a healthier and more protective family environment.

This coordinated effort not only strengthens the legal framework for the protection of children and adolescents, but also empowers society as a whole to build a solid foundation for the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents in El Salvador.
