Al-Marsad newspaper: The Saudi National Mental Health Survey reported that 34% of Saudis were diagnosed with mental health disorders during some period of their lives, and the most common disorders in the Kingdom are separation anxiety disorders and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

A statistic on mental health revealed, according to Al-Youm newspaper, that 75% of chronic mental illnesses begin at the age of 24 years, and 50% of mental disorders begin to appear before the age of 14, and 1 out of 5 adults suffer from one of the disorders.

25% of people were faced with deciding between daily necessities and paying for mental health care, and 52% of those in need of mental health care tried to overcome them on their own rather than seeking appropriate mental care.

The statistic indicated that 10 million people over the age of 18 suffer from more than one addiction or mental health disorder.
