Almost 3 out of 4 voters, 71.1%, reject that the former Catalan president Carles Puigdemont can return to Spain without being held accountable before Justice. These are the results of the NC Report survey for La Razón, according to which only 18.8% of those surveyed are in favor of him returning without attending to Justice.
Among those who reject the idea there are a majority of PP and Vox voters, although 46% of socialist voters and 48.7% of Sumar voters also disapprove. On the contrary, 30.3% and 51.3%, respectively, consider it correct.
The amnesty law
Regarding the amnesty law, there are also a variety of opinions. 64% of voters do not welcome it being the starting point of this new Sánchez legislature and, on the contrary, 31.9% agree with the measure. Socialist and Sumar voters are the most supportive of the law, with 69.5% and 76.2%, respectively.
One of the most critical aspects regarding the amnesty is that the law was not reflected in the PSOE electoral program. In fact, this point is quite divisive among the group’s voters. 42.9% believe that it should have been included, compared to 47.6% who do not give it importance.
An unstable and complex legislature
Voters also express doubts about the stability of the legislature, achieved with the support of the majority of groups for Sánchez’s investiture. In fact, 52.5% of those surveyed believe that it will be complicated by the dependence on the independentists and that it will not last 4 years, compared to 37.6% who do trust that there will be no early elections. Sánchez and Díaz voters are the ones who have the most hope that this will be the case, with 71% and 73.8% respectively. Figures that contrast markedly with those of the popular voters, with 15.6%, and of Vox, with 11%.
Regarding the legislature, what there is consensus on is that it will be complex. 83.8% of voters think so and 68.1% believe that the independentists will be responsible.
