The UN Palestine Refugee Agency (UNRWA) said that more than 90 of its workers died in Israeli bombings in the Palestinian territories of the Gaza Strip since the attacks by the Hamas group in Israel last month.

“It pains me enormously that 92 UNRWA colleagues have been murdered in Gaza. We will never be the same without them”said UNRWA commissioner Philippe Lazzarini, who again called for “a ceasefire, for the good of humanity.”

“A month has passed since the abhorrent attacks in Israel and the brutal war and harsh siege against Gaza,” Lazzarini lamented in a statement, the Europa Press news agency reported.

Various UNRWA facilities in Gaza, including schools, were hit by Israeli bombing.

The agency itself said on Tuesday that “the number of deaths is so overwhelming that it cannot be collateral.” “A ceasefire has been necessary for a long time for the good of humanity”he settled.
