More than a billion dollars…Iraq is third in imports from Türkiye within a month

/ The Turkish Statistics Authority announced that Iraq ranked third among the countries that imported the most from Turkey last November, indicating an increase in exports by 5.2% and a decrease in imports by 5.7%.

The authority said in its report, seen by Agency, that exports increased by 5.2% compared to the same month of 2022 to reach 22 billion, 999 million dollars, indicating that imports decreased by 5.7% compared to the year 2022 to reach 28 billion, 916 million dollars.

She pointed out that “Iraq came third in Turkey’s exports to countries around the world last November with a value of one billion and 285 million dollars, while Germany was the main partner country for exports with one billion and 750 million dollars, followed by the UAE second with one billion and 365 million dollars.” Then the United States of America came fourth with one billion and 262 million dollars, and Italy came fifth with one billion and 103 million dollars.”

Iraq imports most of its goods, merchandise and foodstuffs from neighboring countries, especially Türkiye and Iran, and to a lesser extent from the Arab Gulf countries and Jordan.
