Reading commit

Until the month of September, a reading committee will select the final twelve works: six poems and six short stories. The decision and delivery of the 2023 Train Awards are scheduled for the month of October, coinciding with the commemoration of the first peninsular railway, the Barcelona-Matar line, which this year also celebrates its 175th anniversary. The finalist works will be published in December, in the Train Awards Collection.

The Awards are endowed with a total of 22,000 euros, which are divided between the two categories (poetry and story) as follows: 6,000 euros for the first prize, 3,000 euros for the second and three second prizes of four hundred euros, in each of the modalities. Added to them this year is a ‘175 Years of the Train Special Prize’ of eight hundred euros, in each category, to commemorate the inauguration of the first railway on the Peninsula.
