Whether REWE, Kaufland or Aldi: virtually every large supermarket chain now offers an app companion for grocery shopping. It is enticed with loyalty points, discounts and paying directly via QR code within the app.
For customers, this means a few bargains on the one hand – but also the complete disclosure of their own shopping behavior. BILD took a closer look at the apps of seven large retail chains and said what they offer and what consumer advocates think of the supermarket apps.
