Some parishes even pay the bank to have an ATM installed in their territory. This is the case of the parish of São Vicente da Beira, in Castelo Branco, which pays €430 a month. This situation is not acceptable. It is common sense to ensure that each of the 3091 parishes has at least one automatic teller machine

At a time when proximity is required in services provided to the population, when investment is being made to guarantee connections to the 5G network in every corner of the territory, when equal opportunities for citizens is a priority, it is legitimate to ask how is access by people to the most basic of banking services. Will all Portuguese have access to the ATM network? Will all parishes in the country have at least one ATM installed?
