“I was wrong, I’m not homophobic.” Morgan makes mea culpa after the insults and offenses addressed to the public who yesterday attended the show ‘Battiato – Signs of life and art’ in Selinunte. The videos released on social media document the artist’s conduct who, after a request-rebuke from a spectator, lost his mind. “We can all make mistakes, I was wrong to use a happy expression that I don’t like first of all, I’m not proud of having used it and, if you can, accept my apologies”, writes Morgan on Instagram after yesterday’s episode (Video ).

“I am not homophobic and I condemn those who have no respect for others, beyond the categories we feel we belong to, it is the human being that we owe respect, and therefore my reaction last night was unjustifiable, a bad fall for which I sincerely apologize,” he adds.

The fall in style, “albeit in the wrong way, was caused by having felt hurt in my soul, because I had just given my all in an improvised song in that wonderful and moving place and having asked me for a cover of Battiato as I was a jukebox, after one of the most inspiring performances of my life, it literally killed me. The fact remains that nothing justifies the things I said.”
