Moroccan participation in this international event (May 23-26), organized by the Turkish group Tüyap Exhibitions in partnership with the German Frankfurt Motor Show (Messe Frankfurt), offers Moroccan manufacturers the opportunity to promote their skills and the progress made by the automotive industry in Morocco in recent years, as well as to highlight the “Made in Morocco” label.
Morocco occupies a prominent place at the Show with a large stand set up by the Moroccan Association for the Automotive Industry and Trade (AMICA), bringing together around ten companies operating in various sectors of the industry, including spare parts, electrical wiring and vehicle components.
In a statement to MAP, the head of the spare parts sector at AMICA, Adil Rais, stressed the importance of the participation of Moroccan companies in the main international trade fairs in order to highlight their know-how.
Moroccan players in the sector are now seeking to open up to new markets, particularly in Eastern Europe and the Middle East, while strengthening their position in their traditional markets, explained Mr. Rais, affirming that Moroccan manufacturers are capable of manufacturing high-quality products and exporting them to all regions of the world.
The AMICA stand at “Automechanika Istanbul” is open and shared by the Moroccan companies present, to highlight the “close relationship” that binds the players in the automotive industry to the Kingdom, he added, ensuring that the efforts of all these players will strengthen the export figures of the sector.
In recent years, Morocco has managed to establish a solid industrial base in the automotive sector, supported by a developed logistics infrastructure including major ports such as Tangier Med, as well as road transport players who have extensive expertise in shipping automotive industry products to Europe, Mr. Rais said.
The “Automechanika Istanbul” exhibition is one of the world’s leading events in the field of the automotive industry, bringing together more than 1,400 exhibitors from 41 countries. The organizers expect to welcome more than 60,000 professionals during this edition.
