The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan government assigned by the House of Representatives, Abdul Hadi Al-Huwaij, received the Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco, Said Benkirane.
During the meeting, “some issues of common interest were discussed, including the situation of the Moroccan community in areas within the framework of the Libyan government.”
Al-Huwaij stressed during the meeting, “There are no detainees, prisoners or convicts of Moroccan nationality in the areas within the framework of the Libyan government,” noting that “Moroccan brothers are welcome to work and reside, like their Arab, African and foreign brothers in Libya, within the framework of the state of law and institutions.”
For his part, the Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco, Saeed Benkirane, praised “the level of distinguished bilateral relations between Libya and the Kingdom of Morocco,” stressing that “the two sides intend to achieve more successes and activate the provisions of the joint action plan in order to advance relations to broader horizons,” and “praising the level of security and stability in cities and regions within the framework of the Libyan government thanks to the armed forces and all security agencies.”
