Moroccan participation within the commemoration of the 78th anniversary of the Battle of Monté Cassino
Warsaw – Morocco took half, Thursday in Warsaw, within the commemoration of the 78th anniversary of the Battle of Monte Cassino (Italy) which allowed the forces of the allies to defeat Nazism within the area.
Morocco was represented at this commemoration by the Kingdom’s ambassador to Poland, Abderrahim Atmoun.
Polish and Moroccan troopers who had been a part of the Allied forces took half on this battle which, after a number of months of violent combating, allowed the Allied forces to seize the monastery of Monte Cassino and repel the Nazi parts.
The viewers paid tribute specifically to the 2nd corps of the Polish military, which on the time had suffered huge losses throughout the seize of the monastery of Monte Cassino. The ceremony occurred at Zolnierzy Tulaczy Sq. in Warsaw within the presence of members of the Polish authorities, warfare veterans, in addition to a number of diplomats accredited to Warsaw.
