“Morocco enjoys a conducive environment for investment and stands as a destination of choice for international investments in the fields of industry and energy,” noted Ms. Soler, at the opening a high-level business meeting, under the theme ”Investing in Morocco, a competitive bet to explore new markets”.
”Thanks to its qualified workforce, its favorable business climate and the development of its emerging sectors, Morocco has enormous investment potential and offers significant opportunities to the Spanish entrepreneurial fabric,” indicated the Spanish official, noting that ”the two countries, friends and neighbors, are determined to explore all development possibilities and take advantage of synergies for success”.
”We want to be the benchmark investor in Morocco,” insisted Ms. Soler, expressing her government’s desire to move forward with investment programs in Morocco.
And to recall that Spain is Morocco’s first commercial partner and 17,600 Spanish companies export their products to the Kingdom, noting that thanks to “continued bilateral dialogue and cooperation”, these figures will grow in the future. .
Organized by the Confederation for the Promotion of National Employment, the main employers’ organization in Catalonia, and the Morocco-Spain Economic Council (CEMAES), the Barcelona business meeting further strengthens the dynamics of the actions carried out to consolidate the economic relations of two countries, with a particular emphasis on investment.
This forum, placed under the theme ”Investing in Morocco, a competitive bet to explore new markets”, sees the participation of around a hundred Moroccan and Catalan business leaders.
In addition to Ms. Soler, this forum is marked by the participation in particular of the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, responsible for Investment, convergence and evaluation of public policies, Mohcine Jazouli, the Director General of the Moroccan Agency of Investment and Export Development (AMDIE), Ali Seddiki, the president of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), Chakib Alj, the co-presidents of the Morocco-Spain Economic Council, Adil Rais and Clemente Gonzales Soler, the Moroccan ambassador to Spain, Karima Benyaich, as well as several leaders of the largest Moroccan and Spanish companies.
