During a press briefing, held at the end of the work of the 2nd session of the Joint Cooperation Commission, co-chaired with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, Mr. Bayramov stressed that the two parties shared their common vision and the importance of giving new impetus to their bilateral relations, notably through the exchange of visits between senior officials of the two countries.
In this regard, the head of Azerbaijani diplomacy affirmed that the agreements signed on the occasion of this joint commission will allow to deepen bilateral relations in various fields, adding that regular political consultations between the Moroccan and Azerbaijani Ministries of Foreign Affairs will also contribute to consolidating political dialogue and the bilateral agenda.
And to continue that this 2nd session of the Joint Cooperation Commission is intended to be an opportunity to examine ways of strengthening trade and promoting investments on both sides.
In this regard, Mr. Bayramov said that despite the interest expressed in better promoting trade between the two countries, the figures recorded still do not reflect the potential of the two friendly countries.
“The same applies to mutual investments between the two countries,” he explained, noting that the meeting of the joint commission is an “excellent opportunity” to further strengthen bilateral relations in several areas.
This meeting was also an opportunity to discuss issues of common interest, particularly at the international level, he said.
The Azerbaijani official also expressed his warm congratulations to Morocco for its “well-deserved” designation to organize, alongside Portugal and Spain, the 2030 World Cup.
He also presented his sincere condolences and feelings of compassion to the bereaved families following the Al Haouz earthquake.
