Morocco and Ivory Coast highly welcome their strategic partnership and bilateral cooperation

In a joint press release published at the end of the bilateral meeting between MM. Bourita and Léon Adom, the two ministers welcomed the excellent ties of friendship and solidarity maintained by the two countries, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God help him, and His Brother, His Excellency President Alassane Ouattara.

In this sense, they also welcomed the great progress made within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two countries, illustrated by numerous Royal visits by His Majesty the King to Abidjan, and the launch of several projects in various sectors such as infrastructure, fishing, housing, health, agriculture and human development, which reflects the special place that this brother country occupies in the heart of His Majesty the King.

In this regard, the two ministers invited the private sectors of the two countries to contribute to the revitalization and strengthening of economic exchanges and partnerships through the reactivation of the mechanisms provided for under the Economic Impulse Group (EIG), with a view to breathe new impetus into bilateral cooperation in sectors of common interest.

They welcomed the progress of the works and infrastructure carried out as part of the Cocody Bay rehabilitation project, in Abidjan, which was launched by HM King Mohammed VI and His Brother His Excellency the President Alassane Ouattara, in 2014.

The two parties also reiterated the importance of establishing a monitoring mechanism as well as mutually beneficial operational cooperation between the port infrastructures of the two countries, particularly between Tanger-Med and the port. of Abidjan as well as the new port of Dakhla Atlantique.

Addressing regional and international issues of common interest, the two ministers noted with satisfaction their convergence of views on the various issues raised.

They welcomed the constant efforts made by Morocco, under the wise and enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and by the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire with the new impetus of the President, His Excellency Alassane Ouattara, in favor of peace and development of the African continent.
