Morocco–China: strengthening cultural cooperation at the center of talks between Mr. Bensaid and the Chinese Deputy Minister of Culture
Rabat – The strengthening of cultural cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of China was at the center of talks, Thursday in Rabat, between the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, and Chinese Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism Rao Quan.
During these talks, the two parties highlighted the positive dynamics experienced by relations between Morocco and China since the signing of the Joint Declaration on the Strategic Partnership, by His Majesty King Mohammed VI and President Xi Jinping, during of the Royal Visit to Beijing in May 2016, which reflects the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, indicates a press release from the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication.
MM. Bensaid and Rao also examined ways to strengthen cultural cooperation and bring the Moroccan and Chinese people together through culture, taking into account the history of relations uniting Morocco and China, in addition to the implementation mechanisms of cultural cooperation as well as the establishment of bilateral initiatives in the field of cinema, cultural industries and the video games industry, adds the same source.
In this regard, the two ministers agreed on bilateral coordination in regional and international forums related to culture.
At the end of these talks, the two parties signed the executive cultural cooperation program 2024-2028, aimed at promoting cultural exchanges, encouraging bilateral visits and creating cooperation initiatives and frameworks.
This program also focuses on strengthening coordination and cooperation at the level of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the exchange of expertise and continuing training.
