This agreement aims to share expertise between the two countries in the field of training professionals and families for the care of autistic people, the strengthening of bilateral cooperation and the exchange of legislative practices and research. and studies aimed at promoting the rights of people with disabilities.
Speaking on this occasion, the Minister of Solidarity, Social Inclusion and Family, Aawatif Hayar, reviewed the Kingdom’s achievements in the field of promoting the rights of people with disabilities, under the conduct of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, citing, in this regard, the social protection system and the decree relating to the allocation of a card to people with disabilities, adopted by the Government Council last May, as well as the efforts made to digitalize this area.
The signing of this agreement will allow the two parties to exchange their experiences with a view to ensuring the social integration of this segment of society, underlined Ms. Hayar, specifying that the Djiboutian delegation will have the opportunity to visit a number of social centers to immerse yourself in the Moroccan experience.
For his part, the Director General of ANPH, Doualeh Said Mahamoud expressed Djibouti’s desire to benefit from the Kingdom’s experience in the field of promoting the rights of people with disabilities, noting that the partnership agreement will help promote the exchange of good practices and consolidate the partnership and cooperation between the two countries in this area.
And to specify that the National Agency for Disabled People of Djibouti, created in May 2018, aims to realize the principle of equal opportunities for people with disabilities and to allow this segment of society to participate in the efforts of economic and social development of the country thanks to several initiatives.
