Morocco donates 100 tons of fertilizers to El Salvador

San Salvador. The people and Government of the Kingdom of Morocco have sent a donation of 100 tons of fertilizers that will be distributed among agricultural producers so that they can contribute to the improvement of food security.

Sources from the Foreign Ministry said that this sample reflects the solid ties of friendship and joint work that both nations are building.

“We are extremely pleased with this donation, which will contribute to achieving the objectives set in agricultural matters in the country,” said the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Adriana Mira, referring to the interest of the current administration on this issue.

The diplomat stressed that this support is part of the cooperation framework that is in force with this country on the African continent, which is aligned with the development objectives of both States.

With the Moroccan donation, the productive, professional and entrepreneurial skills of the agricultural sector will be strengthened. “This contribution will also bring good results for our economy, improve crop yields and allow for greater agricultural production,” said the vice chancellor, who also thanked the Kingdom of Morocco, a country that provides its support to El Salvador through of financial and technical cooperation projects in different fields.

The charge d’affaires of that country in El Salvador, Brahim Baddi, responded that the delivery of this shipment “in addition to materializing and reflecting the excellent bilateral relations that unite us, reflects the solidarity that we maintain with our friendly countries, within the framework of the South-South Cooperation; and it is a strong sign of the consolidation of our diplomatic relations”.

The interim Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Óscar Guardado, said that this administration “is working to dignify our farmers.”
