Morocco-EEAU partnership consolidates the Kingdom’s position as “gateway to Africa” (Chilean policy)
Santiago – The innovative, renewed and deep-rooted partnership between Morocco and the United Arab Emirates allows the Kingdom to “consolidate its place as a gateway to Africa” and attract more sustainable investments, said Cristina Orellana, former vice-president of the Christian Democracy party in Chile and member of the board of directors of the “Latin America/Africa 21st Century” Foundation.
“It is very relevant to note that the Kingdom is consolidating its position as a gateway to Africa and as a host country for investments that will be aimed at the development of the territory and the preservation of the environment. This is undoubtedly excellent news,” Cristina Orellana told MAP.
Likewise, she added, this new partnership between two brother countries “highlights the Royal Vision of strengthening dialogue and economic openness in order to make Morocco a more competitive global player.”
In the eyes of Chilean politics, this Morocco-United Arab Emirates partnership will surely result in beneficial effects on the economy and development of the Kingdom.
The Declaration “Towards an innovative, renewed and rooted partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the State of the United Arab Emirates” was signed last Monday in Abu Dhabi by HM King Mohammed VI and HH Sheikh Mohammed Ben Zayed Al-Nahyane, President of the UAE, with the aim of enhancing relations between the two countries and their common cooperation towards broader horizons, through economic partnerships that serve mutual supreme interests and generate progress and prosperity for the two brotherly peoples.
