Recent figures for bilateral trade between Morocco and Spain in the agri-food sector show constant evolution. At the end of November 2023, the value of Moroccan agri-food exports to Spain reached 18.6 billion dirhams, representing 25% of Morocco’s total exports in this sector.
In terms of volume, Moroccan exports of agri-food products to Spain reached 661.2 KT in 2023, while processed agricultural products recorded a significant growth of 7% (compared to 2021), reaching 130 KT.
Seafood also saw notable growth of 19% (compared to 2022), with volume reaching 163.1 KT.
Morocco’s participation in the Madrid Gourmets Fair aims to strengthen this positive dynamic by promoting national products with high added value, thus promoting the expansion of high-end Moroccan products on European markets.
