“We still have the same spirit. The Moroccan selection respects all opponents and we work to preserve the same spirit that allowed us to qualify for the last four of the World Cup in Qatar and to beat Brazil on Saturday in Tangier,” said Regragui during the press conference, held in Valdebebas, Real Madrid’s sports city, before the match against the Peruvians.
“The match will be difficult, especially after the victory against Brazil. We must maintain our level and focus on the details,” noted the national coach, stressing that the Atlas Lions “will do their utmost to win the match.”
“Peru is a great team, very organized with high-level players. Winning Morocco has become a challenge for all teams, so it is up to us to confirm our status and our development,” he said.
Regarding the condition of the players after the effort deployed against Brazil, Regragui said that he will wait for the last training session to ensure the freshness of the players before deciding the eleven that will face Peru, also ruling out the participation of Azeddine Ounahi, injured.
“We will try to think carefully to have the best possible team to win the match,” he insisted.
Morocco, which beat the Brazilian team 2-1 in Tangier on Saturday, will face Peru on Tuesday evening in its second friendly match after the 2022 World Cup.
