Morocco plans to double the number of jobs in the aeronautics sector by 2030 (Mr. Mezzour)

by times news cr

”In accordance with the Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in the aeronautical field, Morocco has established itself as an important player in the sector, which has already demonstrated its capabilities at all levels of production,” Mr. Mezzour said in a statement to MAP, on the sidelines of his participation in the Farnborough International Airshow, which is being held from July 22 to 26.

With its ability to offer talents and its competitiveness in logistics, industry and technology, Morocco is working towards the convergence of its efforts with a view to achieving an upgrade, following the High Instructions of HM the King, noted the minister.

“This translates into a new industrial era focused on sovereignty, the creation of quality jobs and this move upmarket,” he added, specifying that this Show was an opportunity to highlight Morocco’s ambition, which is today “shared and even supported by national and international players who are perfectly in line with the Royal Vision.”

At the industrial level, this ambition gives rise to the desire to double the number of available jobs in order to offer better opportunities to our young talents who are increasingly better trained and better equipped, he explained.

In this sense, “all companies already present on Moroccan soil have expressed their desire to double their capacities, while many new players are trying to settle very quickly in Morocco to respond to the problems of the value chains to which Moroccan competitiveness and talents offer solutions”, he assured.

Furthermore, Mr. Mezzour indicated that Morocco will organize its sixth Marrakech Air Show from October 30, specifying that the Farnborough Air Show was the opportunity to invite several actors and partners to participate.

“Given the intentions expressed, we can already believe that this event will be a success,” he concluded.

The Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and Exports (AMDIE), in collaboration with the Moroccan Aeronautical and Space Industries Group (GIMAS), the Ministry of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, as well as the Ministry of Industry and Trade, is organizing Morocco’s participation in this major event of the aeronautical industry.

The Kingdom has a 180 m² pavilion where meetings and business meetings are held with representatives of international institutions and various global players in the aeronautics industry. The aim is to highlight Morocco’s expertise and strengthen partnership relations with key players in this industry.
