Emanuele Gaudiano, riding the horse “Nikolaj de Music”, won the HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan Prize during this major competition, organized by the Morocco Royal Tour Foundation, under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, by winning after a decisive jump-off which he completed without fault in 39 sec 33/100th.

Second place went to the Belgian rider, Cyril Cools, riding “Milton Z”, after a decisive jump-off which he also completed without fault in 41 sec 15/100, while the German Andre Thieme, riding “Conacco”, completed the podium (41 sec 41/100th).

The Italian rider Roberto Previtali, riding “Conthargo Bleue”, placed fourth, with a time of 42 sec 85/100th, followed by the Swiss rider Barbara Schnieper, riding “Canice” (43 sec 21/100th), while the only Moroccan qualified for the jump-off, Vincent Zacharias Bourguignon, riding “Junius Vd Heffinck Z”, arrived eighth (47 sec 19/100th).

In a statement to MAP, Emanuele Gaudiano expressed his joy at having won the title, stressing that he will try to repeat this feat during the two remaining stages of the Competition in Rabat and El Jadida.

For his part, the course manager, Gregory Bodo, affirmed that all the ingredients were there to guarantee the success of this international sporting event, which constitutes one of the first steps towards the Show Jumping World Cup. , specifying that the racecourse was created in a way to encourage riders to give the best of themselves and to avoid mistakes.

At the end of this major sporting event, the president of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Equestrian Sports (FRMSE), Moulay Abdellah Alaoui, presented the prizes and medals to the winners in the different categories, in the presence of Major General Abdelaziz Chater, Commander of the Royal Guard, Wali of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, Mohamed Mhidia, and other personalities.

It should be noted that this first stage of the 12th edition of the “Morocco Royal Tour”, held from October 5 to 8, saw the participation of eminent riders from around fifteen countries.

This international competition included 13 events, including 3 4* level Grand Prix qualifiers for the Arab-North African League and the Longines FEI World Cup, the final of which will take place from April 16 to 20, 2024 in Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia.

The Morocco Royal Tour takes place over three stages over three weeks, within three equestrian sites in Tetouan, Rabat and El Jadida.

Created in 2010 on high royal instructions, the Morocco Royal Tour Foundation, composed of three key members like the Royal Guard, the FRMSE and the Salon du Cheval association, and chaired by Prince Moulay Abdallah Alaoui, is organizing a first-class circuit recognized by horse professionals.
