Riding the horse “Cuba Libre De Nevada Z”, the Belgian rider won this Prize, second stage of the HM King Mohammed VI Grand Prix, after achieving a flawless performance in 41 sec 53/100.
Second place in this event (4*, 1.50m), in which 38 riders from 16 countries took part, went to the Italian Roberto Previtali on “Conthargo-Blue” (clear, 41 sec 69/ 100th).
The Frenchwoman Jeanne Sadrane, riding “Kosmo Van Hof Ter Boone”, came third (clear, 42 sec 09/100th), while the Swiss Barbara Schnieper on “Escoffier” finished the event in fourth place in 39 sec 77/100 and four penalty points.
The Portuguese Duarte Seabra on “Dourados 2”, finished fifth, completed the course in 40sec 60/100th and four penalty points.
At the end of this event, Lalla Soumia El Ouazzani, daughter of the late HRH Princess Lalla Amina, presented the Prizes to Marine Scauflaire and the riders who occupied the four other first places in the event.
Organized by “Morocco Royal Tour” of show jumping, under the aegis of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Equestrian Sports (FRMSE), this edition sees the participation of the best riders representing the national clubs affiliated to the FRMSE, alongside eminent foreign riders, representing different continents.
The program of this event, which includes 14 prizes, including eight 4*, will be marked by the organization of the Show Jumping Nations Cup, next Sunday, with the participation of eight countries, namely Belgium, France , Ireland, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine and Morocco.
Morocco is represented in the 4* events by Abdelkebir Ouaddar, winner of the 5* Grand Prix in Paris in 2016 and the Grand Prix of Tetouan and El Jadida, and El Ghali Boukaa crowned last year in Rabat.
The Kingdom is also present in force in the 1* events with no less than 60 Moroccan riders.
The Rabat stage of the “Morocco Royal Tour” is the second after that of Tetouan (October 5-8). The third stage is scheduled for October 19 to 22 in El Jadida.
