Morocco takes part in the International Green Week in Berlin
Berlin – The Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Mohammed Sadiki, took part, Thursday, in the opening ceremony of the 88th edition of the International Green Week in Berlin, which takes place from January 19 to 28 in Berlin, alongside the German Minister of Agriculture and Food, the European Commissioner for Agriculture and numerous ministers responsible for agriculture.
On this occasion, Mr. Sadiki inaugurated the Moroccan pavilion on Friday, accompanied by the German Minister of Agriculture and Food, Cem Özdemir, the Moroccan Ambassador to Germany, Zohour Alaoui, and several personalities.
Organized by Morocco Foodex, the Moroccan pavilion sees the participation of around twenty cooperatives and economic interest groups, representing different regions of Morocco, which exhibit a wide range of Moroccan local products, reflecting the diversity, authenticity and the richness of the national land and Moroccan culture.
Morocco’s participation in the Berlin Green Week aims to raise awareness of Morocco’s agri-food products, particularly local products, but also to strengthen exports of agri-food products and explore new outlets for Moroccan supply in the international circuit.
Created in 1926, Berlin International Green Week is one of the world’s largest events dedicated to food, agriculture and horticulture.
It brings together consumers, decision-makers, distribution chain operators and researchers in agricultural innovation. This year’s edition brings together more than 1,400 exhibitors representing around sixty countries and welcomes more than 300,000 visitors over an area of 118,000 m².
