Morocco unanimously designated host country of CAN-2025

The meeting took place ‍in the presence of the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi ‍Lekjaa,⁢ a member of the CAF Executive ⁢Committee.

During⁣ the meeting, Mr. Lekjaa presented the Moroccan file, reiterating the Kingdom’s commitment, in accordance ‌with the High⁣ instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, to strengthen South-South cooperation with African countries and promote their development in ⁢various fields.

He emphasized that Morocco is driven by a desire to contribute to the development of African football, and based on this conviction, the‌ Kingdom has applied to host ​the CAN-2025.

Mr. Lekajaa promised a tournament that would be “safe,⁤ peaceful,⁣ adhering to international standards,⁤ and providing⁤ the best possible‌ experience for players, fans, visitors, and viewers​ worldwide.”

Morocco is also continuing​ to ⁢modernize its ​sports infrastructure and make it available to African countries. It is also willing‍ to share its expertise in organizing international competitions to inspire future generations and promote a more united, just, and⁤ tolerant world.

The ⁢FRMF⁤ President mentioned the developed infrastructures⁣ available ⁣in ⁣Morocco for the organization ⁣of this major African football event, including stadiums‍ that meet⁤ CAF requirements⁢ and are ready to ⁣host the competition in various locations such as Rabat, Casablanca, Tangier, Fez,‌ Marrakech, and Agadir.

He also highlighted Morocco’s⁢ extensive‌ experience in organizing major events, ⁣not only in the sports‌ field but across all sectors, thanks to its network of modern and developed infrastructures.
