Morocco, under the leadership of HM the King, builds peace and harmony (French senator)
Paris – The Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, is building peace, building bridges and strengthening the foundations of harmony between peoples, stressed Christian Cambon, French senator and president of the France-Morocco friendship group in the Senate.
“The France-Morocco friendship group that I have the honor of chairing in the Senate of the French Republic is obviously very attentive to the role of Morocco and His Majesty the King in the international context of numerous crises that we are experiencing,” Mr. Cambon said in a statement to MAP on the occasion of the celebration by the Moroccan people of the 25th anniversary of the enthronement of the Sovereign.
“We are witnessing numerous attempts to destabilize Africa, particularly in the Sahel. In this extremely difficult context, the role of HM the King is obviously fundamental,” he assured.
The French senator noted, in the same context, that the Sovereign has created around Morocco a real cooperation with many African states after the return of the Kingdom to the African Union, which was already a very important event, specifying that “the numerous Royal initiatives make it possible precisely to combat these attempts at destabilization.”
“We also see this in this very courageous attitude towards the Middle East. It is certainly Morocco which is currently doing the most to help the people of Gaza. We are very attentive to these actions which we support,” continued Mr. Cambon.
He added, on the other hand, that “His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, imprints on Morocco a certain number of values which are respectful of democracy and freedom.”
