Washington – Under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco has made “impressive” progress, said former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for the Near East, Jeffrey Feltman.
“The list of what has been accomplished in Morocco over the last 25 years is long and impressive,” said Mr. Feltman, a regional expert who also served as United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs.
In a message on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Sovereign’s accession to the Throne of His glorious Ancestors, this current member of the prestigious American think tank, Brookings, spoke of the major advances made by Morocco on the political and socio-economic levels, citing the reform of the Constitution and the Family Code, as well as the dynamics of GDP growth and the promotion of arts and culture.
The American expert also highlighted Morocco’s “leadership” in the fight against climate change, welcoming in this regard the forward-looking vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to meet the challenges inherent in a pressing phenomenon that affects the entire world.
“Morocco has demonstrated strong and forward-thinking leadership on climate change that affects us all,” he said.
