Morocco-United Arab Emirates partnership, a “source of admiration and inspiration” for the countries of the region (PSOE member)
Madrid – The Declaration signed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Ben Zayed Al-Nahyan, President of the State of the United Arab Emirates, constitutes a “source of admiration and inspiration” for all countries in the region wishing to build “strategic partnerships”, stressed, on Wednesday, Juan Segovia, member of the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE).
“This Declaration and the memoranda signed within the framework of HM the King’s visit to the United Arab Emirates are of strategic importance and encompass vital aspects and sectors to ensure sustainable development in several areas,” Mr. Segovia noted in a statement to MAP.
”The exceptional and singular nature of the memoranda and their multidimensional scope give this partnership oriented towards the Atlantic area a particular importance and richness, particularly with regard to the value and scope of the infrastructure projects covered by the agreements, more particularly the Nador West Med and the Atlantic port of Dakhla in the Moroccan Sahara”, observed Mr. Segovia, former regional socialist deputy and secretary general of the Socialist Rally of Fuencarral.
”This innovative partnership enshrines the strategic vision of Morocco, a country that is moving forward with giant strides, to build future-oriented alliances and consolidate the Kingdom’s foreign policy,” Mr. Segovia said.
“Morocco enjoys an excellent reputation on the international scene. This is demonstrated by the quality of its relations with the United States, Europe, particularly Spain, all African and Middle Eastern countries, which makes it an essential country in terms of foreign policy,” he added.
