Morocco’s airports continue to recover

The National Airports Office in Morocco announced yesterday that the kingdom’s airports recorded a total of 12,294,484 passengers on 108,640 flights by the end of August 2022. In its statement, the ministry said that in the first eight months of this year, Moroccan airports continued to register decent recovery rates compared to the corresponding period in 2019, with the figures currently standing at 74% of passenger traffic and 78% of aircraft traffic.

During the month of August 2022, passenger traffic at Morocco’s airports reached 2,473,495 through 18,918 flights, i.e. 94% and 91% respectively, compared to the corresponding period in 2019. According to the announcement, Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport handled 4,659,571 by the end of August Passengers on 42,288 flights, i.e. 67% and 69%, respectively, compared to the corresponding period in 2019.
