Morocco’s Brilliant Participation in the 63rd Mathematical Olympiad in Oslo

The Moroccan team received four honorable mentions, obtaining scores of 19, 17, 17 and 15.

The national team, composed of Abdelkayoum Kaddouri, Mouad Enoua, Saad Chairi, Adam El Kharraze, El Mehdi EL Kihel and Anas El Boukari, totaled 82 points. This is the best result obtained by the representatives of Morocco since 2004, and a progression of five places compared to last year.

On this occasion, a ceremony was organized in honor of the national team by the Moroccan Ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway and the Republic of Iceland, Ms. Nabila Freidji, to encourage them to persevere in their academic career and to continue to honor Morocco in international mathematics competitions.

On the African level, the Moroccan team has won first place four times in a row. It also ranked first at the Arab Olympiads in 2018 and 2020.

The 63rd edition of the International Mathematical Olympiad saw the participation of 589 young people from 104 countries.
