Morocco’s cultural diversity celebrated at the Village de la Francophonie in Paris

Led by the Secretary General of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), Louise Mushikiwabo, the official delegation, which kicked off this cultural initiative, as a prelude to the political meetings of the OIF summit, is well lingered in the Moroccan stand, placed under the sign of diversity, in perfect harmony with the spirit of this ephemeral village, which aims to be “a window on the Francophonie in the world”, or even “a place of exchanges and cultural discoveries’, showcasing creativity and living arts from five continents.

The national pavilion, organized by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, offers the opportunity to discover Moroccan cultural richness and diversity, with a program highlighting the singularity of Morocco’s heritage and its various initiatives in favor of sustainable development.

The Secretary General of the Department of Culture, Samira Lemlizi, underlined, on this occasion, that Morocco’s participation in this event reflects the Kingdom’s attachment to the Francophonie and its openness to the world, in accordance with the High Guidelines of HM the King Mohammed VI encouraging the strengthening of the national presence at international meetings and forums.

Since its inauguration, the Moroccan stand has been full of visitors, delighted to find themselves in this warm space marked by legendary Moroccan hospitality, embarking on a journey that begins with an exploration of the national tangible and intangible cultural heritage, with including an augmented reality tour of Moroccan historical sites.

The discovery of Morocco’s diversity continues with an exhibition of Fine Books devoted to the cultural and civilizational heritage of Morocco, as well as to the significant stages of its history, starting with the epic of the Green March to the projects of scale launched in recent years, under the leadership of the Sovereign.

The sporting exploits of the Atlas Lions are also highlighted, to the great pleasure of football fans, present in particular at the opening of the Moroccan pavilion, which also offers a ”Youth and Innovation” section, echoing to this year’s theme of the Francophonie Summit: ”Create, innovate and undertake in French”.

The proposed cultural immersion experience is enhanced by a calligraphy performance as a component of national heritage.

Until Sunday, the Village de la Francophonie invites you to visit the pavilions of dozens of French-speaking countries and regions within a colorful scenography, to interact with representatives of each country and to discover the richness of a multidisciplinary program mixing theater , concerts, immersive experiences, digital art, photography, cinema, dance or hip hop performances, meetings with inspiring and committed personalities, or even stand-up comedy with the best artists from the French-speaking world.
