This project, which is likely to strengthen Morocco’s production capacity and industrial dominance, consists of an integrated industrial complex intended to produce a variety of metallurgical products: concrete iron, wire rod, large diameter crowns, steel ingots and special steels, in among other products.

The industrial complex offers significant professional opportunities to the region, and 3,000 jobs are created, including 1,100 direct and stable jobs.

Covering a total area of ​​75 hectares, this project opens up promising prospects to meet the increasing needs of the national market but also those of other international markets such as Europe and Africa in terms of reinforcing steel products of quality and high- added value.

In a statement to MAP, Mr. Mezzour emphasized the strategic importance of the steel industry for the national economy, welcoming the realization of this ambitious project which was supported by the State through several construction conventions.

“This project will strengthen national production capacity and product diversification with strong local integration,” he explained, noting that the project is in line with the High Royal Guidelines aimed at strengthening industrial dominance, creating jobs and the modernize industrial system, taking into account that. this complex uses the latest technologies in iron processing and recycling.

And note that the creation of this complex is part of an investment vision aimed at reducing imports and encouraging exports through the production of high quality iron.

The steel complex of the group “Riva Industries”, the Minister, continued to work to meet the needs of the national market and also helps to consolidate Moroccan knowledge and experience at the international level.

For his part, Abdelmajid Belmekki, president and CEO of the Riva Industries group, insisted that this industrial complex, supported by 100% Moroccan capital, relies on the latest global technologies and meets international standards to meet on the requirements of the national and international competition.

He noted that this project basically aims to contribute to strengthening national sovereignty in this area and to promote “Made in Morocco”, stating that the emphasis is placed on the exploitation of materials collected in Morocco to recycle and reuse.

The project “Riva Industries” also includes auxiliary units using developed technologies that specialize in the sorting and preparation of non-ferrous waste, the treatment and recycling of water and smoke as well as the transformation of electricity through clean stations, the production of gases and essential materials. the operation of the industrial complex.

On the occasion of this visit, Mr. Mezzour presented a certificate of conformity with Moroccan standards for wire rod to the company Riva Industries, as the first Moroccan operator to certify this type of product.

IMANOR carried out this certification process within the framework of Law 12-06 regarding standardization, certification and accreditation. The Moroccan standard that was the reference for this certificate and the related conformity assessment procedures are equivalent to international standards and practices in this field.
