Mortgage credit registered an expansion of 5.2% in September 2023 compared to the same month of the previous year and advanced 0.8% compared to the month of August of this year, the Central Reserve Bank of Peru indicated today.
The issuing entity detailed that this result was contributed by the largest mortgage loans in soles, which expanded by 6.3% year-on-year in September, compared to August, mortgage loans in soles increased by 0.9%.

In addition, the preference for taking out loans in national currency for the purchase of homes continues. This is observed in the dollarization of mortgage credit, which stood at 8.3% in September 2023, equal to that of August and 0.5 percentage points less than a year ago.
