Morton Grove Sec. At Mary’s Canaan Catholic Parish Welcomes New Leadership

On Sunday, January 7th, Mary’s Canaan Catholic Parish in Morton Grove saw a transition of leadership as newly elected lay hands assumed their roles in the Church Executive. The swearing-in ceremony took place after the morning Mass, with Vicar Fr. Siju taking the oath of office and assuming the position.

The outgoing members of the Church Executive, Alex Mullappallill, Kunjachan Kulangara, James Akishkevalil, and Stephen Chollambale, were honored and felicitated by the parish for their service. They were presented with plaques in recognition of their dedication and contributions to the parish.

During the ceremony, the new p. R.O. Anil Mattathikunnel and Parish Council Secretary Sunny Meledam were introduced, and the Parish Council report book was handed over, symbolizing the official transfer of power. Vicar Fr. Siju also announced that there would be a transfer of power for other officials who are taking vacations.
