The Tagansky District Court of Moscow fined The Insider 1 million rubles (in terms of 12,067 euros) for violating the law on media “foreign agents”. This was announced on Tuesday, December 14, by the press service of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction on Telegram.

Two protocols were drawn up for the management due to the lack of markings – for each of them the fine was 500 thousand rubles. Roskomnadzor is also seeking to restrict access to the publication’s website in Russia through the courts.

In 2020-2021, The Insider journalists, in collaboration with other investigators, wrote a series of articles about the alleged poisoners of opposition figures Alexei Navalny, Vladimir Kara-Murza and writer Dmitry Bykov.
