Because of the heat, passengers of the Moscow metro are again given free water, according to the Moscow Department of Transport. These are the following stations:

The heat up to plus 33 and the ultraviolet index as at the equator are expected for Moscow residents today, July 11, leading employee of the Phobos weather center Evgeny Tishkovets told RIA Novosti. “The air will warm up to plus 31–33 in Moscow, plus 29–34 in the Moscow region. This is an abnormal heat, 9-10 degrees higher than the required climatic norm, ”said Mr. Tishkovets. According to him, the ultraviolet index remains at six units.
“For us, the normal index is 2, maximum 3 units. And 6 is like in Namibia, Zambia, Singapore. This is the index of the tropical and equatorial zones, ”explained the forecaster.
Earlier, the Hydrometeorological Center announced an “orange” level of weather hazard in Moscow and the Moscow region due to the heat. The warning is valid in the capital until 19:00 on July 11, in the region – until 13:00 on July 12.
Forecasters expect the heat wave in Moscow to last until the end of next week. The increased temperature will be in the regions of the Central and Southern Federal Districts.
