Moshe’s guarantee celebrates that budget control can not be realized

by time news

Betar Jerusalem faces the most difficult challenge in its history: in the midst of the 2021/22 season, the club finds itself on the verge of insolvency, and is forced to release players when the box office is completely empty.

According to information obtained by the sports channel, a budget guarantee of NIS 2.5 million is deposited in a “virtual wallet”, ie a guarantee that cannot be opened or confiscated. Now, the question arises as to why the control approved the guarantee, as it is impossible to access the money – which could have significantly helped the club by the end of the current season, at least.

“Virtual wallet” means that the money is deposited digitally, and closed with a code – when only the account holder has the access to withdraw the money. Currently, the money remains in the account, when it is not clear whether because there is no code, or because the police do not allow the use of bail. In any case, at this stage Betar cannot use the amount to improve its financial situation, in the face of the challenges that await it.
