The automaker Moskvich will launch two new models, Moskvich 5 and Moskvich 8, next year. This is stated in the presentation of the company, presented by its CEO Hans-Peter Moser as part of the iMAF-2023 forum, transmits “RIA Novosti”.
Their appearance and technical characteristics have not yet been disclosed. In addition, in 2026, Moskvich is preparing to introduce another new product, but details have not yet been given.
According to the text of the presentation, Moskvich will have to produce 27,000 cars this year, and 44,000 cars in 2024.
Now in the lineup of Moskvich there are two cars – the Moskvich 3 crossover and the Moskvich 3e electric car. This year, the plant will also start producing the Moskvich 6 liftback.
Deliveries of crossovers “Moskvich 3” and its electric version “Moskvich 3e” to Russian cities began in February this year, and in March sales of cars from official dealers started. The volume of production of Moskvich 3 and Moskvich 3e crossovers since the start of assembly in November 2022 amounted to 11,000 cars.
Earlier, the manufacturer said that the cost of the Moskvich 3 car exceeded 2 million rubles. As of August 1, the maximum recommended retail price for the Moskvich 3 crossover reached 2.22 million rubles. The cost of the version with a CVT was 2.28 million rubles, and in the “comfort” configuration – 2.48 million. At the same time, the price of the Moskvich 3e electric car is indicated from 3.95 million rubles.
