The travel time from each city to Seoul is 4 hours 30 minutes from Busan, 4 hours 10 minutes from Ulsan, 3 hours 40 minutes from Mokpo, 3 hours 30 minutes from Daegu, 3 hours 20 minutes from Gwangju, 2 hours 40 minutes from Gangneung, and 1 hour 30 minutes from Daejeon.

As of noon on that day, the estimated travel time from Seoul to each city was 6 hours and 40 minutes for Busan, 6 hours and 10 minutes for Ulsan, 5 hours and 20 minutes for Mokpo, 5 hours and 40 minutes for Daegu, 5 hours and 10 minutes for Gwangju, 3 hours and 50 minutes for Gangneung, and 3 hours and 10 minutes for Daejeon.

The estimated travel time from each city to Seoul was 4 hours and 40 minutes for Busan, 4 hours and 10 minutes for Ulsan, 3 hours and 40 minutes for Mokpo, 3 hours and 40 minutes for Daegu, 3 hours and 30 minutes for Gwangju, 2 hours and 40 minutes for Gangneung, and 1 hour and 50 minutes for Daejeon.

However, as of 6 PM on this day, the expected travel time from Seoul to each city is decreasing.

Currently, traffic congestion is occurring on the Gyeongbu Expressway heading towards Busan in the following sections: 4 km from Hannam to Seocho, 12 km from Oksan Junction to Oksan, 8 km from Cheongju Junction to Jukam, and 5 km from Daejeon to Biryong Junction.

On the West Coast Expressway in the direction of Mokpo, traffic congestion continues in the 8km section from Seopyeongtaek to Seohae Bridge, the 8km section from Dongseocheon Junction to Gunsan, and the 3km section from Donggunsan to Donggunsan.

On the Jungbu Expressway in the Nam-i direction, vehicles are moving slowly in sections such as the Hobeop Junction to Moga (4 km), and the area near Jincheon to the Jincheon Tunnel (6 km).

Also, on the Central Inland Line, vehicles are repeatedly starting and stopping in sections such as the 10km section from Yeoju Junction to Gamgok in the direction of Changwon, the 7km section from Mungyeong Saejae to Jinnam Tunnel, and the 8km section from Nakdong Junction to Sangju Tunnel.

The nationwide traffic volume for that day was expected to be 5.34 million vehicles, with 420,000 vehicles expected to move from the metropolitan area to the provinces and 430,000 vehicles expected to move from the provinces to the metropolitan area.

The road construction company predicted that traffic congestion would be resolved around 8-9 PM for those heading to their hometown and around 6-7 PM for those heading to Seoul.
