Artgad: The police arrested a ganja dealer and his accomplice wife who raped a mother and daughter in Artgad.
A 40-year-old woman from Kanyakumari is separated from her husband and lives in Arcot, Ranipet district. His 17-year-old daughter is studying Plus 2 in a private school. Bhaskar, 33, a ganja dealer from Anna Nagar, Arcot, used to talk to the woman often.
Last month, on the 28th midnight, Bhaskar and his wife Durga, 30, entered the woman’s house. Ganja dealer Bhaskar raped the woman and her daughter there and his wife Durga took a ‘video’ of it on her mobile phone.
Showing the video, the ganja dealer repeatedly raped them and threatened to kill them. Aggrieved, the woman lodged a complaint with the Ranipet Women’s Police. Police yesterday arrested Bhaskar and his wife under the POCSO Act and lodged them in Vellore jail.
